RESTORATION

Sparrows provides its customers - at their option - partial or complete restoration of furniture purchased from us. We maintain a full - service restoration staff, directed by co-owner Henning Kramer, a European born and trained master craftsman. Our experience includes work with a broad range of materials, including wood, metal, leather and parchment; skills encompass a wide range of techniques for both structural and cosmetic restoration.

For skills not resident in - house, we contract with specialists in ceramics, glass, marble, gilding, caning and upholstering.

We approach every restoration project from the perspective that our task is to recreate the intent of the original maker of the piece, and remain conscious of the impact of any work on its antique value.
