CONDITION

The furniture items are priced for the condition in which they are offered. Some are as we found them in France ("as found") while others have been restored. We would be happy to provide you detailed descriptions and photos, if relevant, of condition for any item, including description of any restoration we have done. Restoration of "as found" merchandise is available under separate contract.

We highly recommend personal inspection for all items of furniture. There are so many details which might show damage or wear that they might be difficult to catalogue, and if catalogued, difficult to assess the significance of from photos.

For items other than wood furniture, we provide the following condition classifications on the web:

Excellent	No visible damages, no repairs
Very good	Very minor flaws, such as tiny glaze flakes, slight misalignments
Minor flaws	Visible flaws, unrepaired, including chips, lines, spiders in ceramics
Repaired	Repair to what had been a visible damage, such as chips in ceramic items
Rewired	Conversion to US electrical standards, usually done in conjunction with cleaning and/or alignment of lighting elements
